Day Nursery CACFP Program

 Day Nursery is a sponsor of the Child and Adult Care Food and Nutrition Program in the greater Indianapolis area. We offer a cash reimbursement to licensed family child care home providers or CACFP eligible LLEP home providers for serving nutritious meals and snacks.

There is no fee to participate in this program.

BENEFITS TO PROVIDERS

 As a member of Day Nursery's child care homes sponsorship, you may receive:
  1. Monthly cash reimbursements for serving nutritious meals and snacks.
  2. Regular training sessions.
  3. Opportunity to network with other child care home providers.
  4. Use of toy and resource libraries.
  5. Monthly newsletter.
  6. Personal, friendly service.
  7. Access to child care provider help line.

BENEFITS TO PARENTS AND CHILDREN

  1. Nutritious meals and snacks.
  2. Nutrition education.
  3. Security of knowing your children are cared for by a concerned and trained provider.

HOW TO QUALIFY

  1. Obtain a child care home license, or meet CCDF eligibility requirements. 
  2. Maintain basic record keeping.
  3. Attend workshops.
