Through monthly trainings we help prepare child care providers for licensing. In order to become licensed child care providers must attend two orientation trainings. We also suggest providers attend a safe-sleep class, and a class on child abuse prevention and disaster preparedness.
We administer a Child and Adult Care Food Program on behalf of the Day Nursery Association of Indianapolis. Providers can be partially reimbursed for serving nutritious meals at their child care business. Any licensed provider, or CCDF eligible provider may participate in this program. Click the FOOD PROGRAM link to learn more.
We also conduct a variety of other trainings throughout the year. Our training department creates a training calendar each quarter of the year with all of the upcoming trainings included.
A variety of mentoring programs are available from Child Care Answers as well. We mentor providers through levels one, two and three of Paths to QUALITY, and we work with unlicensed registered child care ministries to achieve the Voluntary Certification Program so they may also receive the benefits of Paths to QUALITY.
We update the information in our database twice annually. This helps us to insure that the information we are providing to parents is accurate, relevant and meets their individual needs. Every other year, we do a rate survey for the State of Indiana, to help determine the reimbursement rates for CCDF.
We hope that as a provider, you will turn to Child Care Answers as a valuable resource for your business for today and tomorrow.
