Children with Special Needs
As a part of the Indiana Partnership for Inclusive Child Care (IPICC) project, our Inclusion Specialist, Sarah Bailey, delivers individualized consultations and onsite technical assistance to programs. This includes assistance in adapting and modifying toys, materials, and classroom environments to accommodate specific special needs. We also offer specialized trainings for you or your staff on special needs issues and a variety of early childhood topics.
Infants and Toddlers
We are proud to promote the healthy development of babies, toddlers, and their families. Our Infant and Toddler Specialists, Lauren George and Katherine Coleman, are available to offer providers consultation services, resources, and trainings on a variety of issues that impact healthy care and development for infants and toddlers.
Preschool and Pre-K
Our Early Childhood Development Specialist, Candice Wise, is available to help you stop big problems before they start, meeting the social-emotional needs of children in your classroom. She can focus on modeling, coaching, and providing other techniques to provide support when you need it.
Our School-Age Specialist, Jenny Mathis, supports providers of school-age programs via on-site training and observation, through which she can model best practices and help you to develop action plans. She can also connect you to additional resources and training and support your Paths to QUALITY™ level advancement.
Paths to QUALITY™
Each Paths to QUALITY™ child care provider can partner with a coach from Child Care Answers. Your coach will guide you through the process of joining the program and support you as you advance through the program. Services in Spanish
Our Bilingual Support Manager, Lucy Intriago, offers a variety of services for professionals in Spanish. This includes training and technical assistance, including Orientation I and II, as well as coaching for Paths to QUALITY™ providers and registered ministries. Lucy also provides support services for providers with children with special needs, infants, toddlers, and those who participate in the food program (CACFP) for licensed child care homes.
Marion County Preschool and Pre-k Scholarship Programs
Our Pre-K Project Manager, Marla Segal, can assist any Marion County early childhood program interested in becoming an approved provider of the Indy Preschool Scholarship Program or On My Way Pre-K. She also provides support to current Indy Preschool Scholarship Program or On My Way Pre-K providers with tracking attendance, ISTAR-KR, family engagement, and child enrollment, as well as any other program assistance that you may need.
